I searching for some vintage inspiration recently. One of my favorite sources is vintage advertising. I came across this Brach's ad from the 50s. I love the colors and especially love that it features candy - one of my favorite things!
That is really *sweet*! :) I remember the Brach's Royals.... they were chocolate, Tootsie-roll like, but had different flavors in the middle (and softer). They were in "bulk" in the grocery store, and my brother and I were allowed to select a few when we went to the store with my mom. Nice memories; thanks for sharing this. ~Becca~
Hoo boy! I loves me some vintage schlock. Those old adds have such crazy colors. Have you ever seen any of the old saltwater taffy ads from the east coast? Some of those colors are really gorgeous.I really like the little resin charms, too, by the way.
That vintage ad is so cute.. How are you? I have been going crazy and finally have some down time. Just posting or trying too and visiting blogs today :)
What a cute add Karla! love it...missed you this weekend. I wore your bracelet I bought from you so that a little piece of you was there with us. lol. ;)
Hi Karla, I love old ads like that one. You said wish was your favorite crown, my daughter too!!! She loved it, and now she wants one. Thanks for visiting, Rosemary
I don't know if they still have bins of Brachs candy in grocery stores but I remember when I was little that was one of our favorite things about going food shopping. There always these bins and bins of Brach's candies.
