Fruits of the Garden

We are starting to see the first yummy products of my husband's garden. Some simply delicious heirloom tomatoes and a few peppers have been picked, washed and are ready to go. I think I'll make a simple tomato salad to have with dinner tonight. A little olive oil, some salt and maybe some cheese is all that is really needed to highlight these little garden gems. What are your favorite garden treats?

The mailman brought some fun treats yesterday. This is a wonderful collage card from Miz Smoochie Lips. Just love it!

This is a birthday wand from the ultra talented Kris Hurst. I'm going to use it on my birthday in October.

Oh your wand is so sweet!! I am just amazed by the creativity I see daily on blogs! Wow, and your garden has done well too this year hasn't it! We have no veg in ours just lots of apples, pears and grapes! xx

Cute mail goodies!

My garden is producing tomatoes faster than we can eat them, so I have been cooking and freezing sauce, but you are right, nothing is better than a simple salad of them fresh from the garden.

Your veggies look delicious!

We made BLTs for dinner with avocado and one of our big brandywine tomatoes from the garden.

Yummmmm.
A simple cucumber & tomato salad is on the menu for tomorrow. :)

Oh I am waiting for for the Tomatoes, some of them are just about ready. I can not grow them, so I will get them from my dad's garden. What a wonderful card, and wand!

Karla, the garden goodies look wonderful - a tomato salad sounds really great. The mail fairy was very good to you! It's so fun to get packages with lovely creations. I bet you'll have fun when your birthday rolls around - do you have a crown to wear as well? Or have you made one?
