I believe in angels, spirits, the great beyond. I believe that when we depart this earth we go to a more beautiful place then we can imagine. I also believe that our departed ones are always with us in spirit. I believe angels come in many forms, living among us both in the flesh and in spirit. To that end, I was honored when Bristol asked me to make her a key necklace featuring a photo of her dad as a child. This necklace will be given to her mother.
Jeff and I were also honored to become angels of sorts recently. I heard about Soldiers' Angels through Jenn and immediately signed up. This service matches you with a soldier stationed overseas. You make a commitment to send that soldier a card or letter each week and one to two care packages a month. We received our soldier assignment last week and have sent out our first care package and cards in the hopes that they will reach her by the holiday. At this point, all we know is that she is stationed in Afghanistan. This is such a small commitment to make to let our soldiers know that they are cared for and thought of. Please consider checking out Soldiers' Angels.
May angels be watching over you and your loved ones.

Hi Karla,
What a gorgeous key necklace you made. It's lovely!
And what a good idea the Soldiers' Angels service is. It's wonderful what you are doing!
Kathy :)
Beautiful necklace, and I am sure her mom will love it!
You are an ANGEL for sure, Soldiers need people like you!

Yes I agree the key necklace is amazing! But your dedication to the Soldier's Angel has truly touched me... bless your sweet heart! And thank you for spreading the word... amazingly I didn't even know about that until now.

Karla, what a wonderful program. I went over and read a bit about it. I would LOVE to do something like that. Thanks for sharing the link.
You have such a kind heart Karla...it always shines through. :)
I hope and pray your friends family that lost their child will find peace this holiday season. I often think about them and pray for them. It is a Mothers worst fear. xoxox
Karla- You are such a wonderful person. My Mother is going to love that necklace. I don't know if i told you my Dad just passed away in April very suddenly. That necklace will mean a lot to my Mom.
You did a WONDERFUL job!~~~~~~~~
I love that program your involved in. My husband is in the air force reserve and spent time in Saudi when the war first started. That is such an uplifting thing for them!!

The soldier's angel service is a wonderful idea. you're so kind hearted
I love what you've been making and sharing, those wreaths at the workshop are just aweseome! wish we had something like that here!
What a beautiful necklace, and what a lovely thing to do, Karla!!!
A beautiful key necklace...
and what an angel YOU are! I too believe in angels. They are all around and take many forms. I think this is a marvelous idea.
I know all too well how it feels to have one you love in a war zone far away during the holidays. Those troops need our support and it natters not what anyone feels about the politics of it all. IT is about the people are are sent there and go because it is their job to do so. Thank you Karla...sweet Karla.
You really are an angel.
Hugs,
Sue
Karla, the key necklace is so pretty - and what a special gift to be able to give to a person. I'm sure Bristol's mom will love it. And you sure are and angel - the soldier you adopted will probably never have been so well taken care of. She's lucky to have you as her angel.
