The Ultimate Gift

Well friends, do we get some sort of a sign when the Lord is ready to call us? Can one die from a broken heart? I don't know that we will every truly know the answers and I don't know that it is knowledge we are meant to have. Those of you that have been readers of my little blog may remember my friend that lost her 3 year-old son in October. This morning my dear friend's mother passed away unexpectedly. I think she died from a broken heart. But I do with every fiber of my being think that she crossed into the next world so that her grandson would be looked after and so that her daughter would know he was not alone. Why does one person, one family seem to shoulder so much more then others? We may never know. God does not give us more then we can handle, I have to believe that and I do believe that but this is quite a lot. I ask that you keep this family in your prayers. I also want to send my thoughts and prayers out to all the victims and families in Illinois.

Peace be with you my dear blogging friends.

OH Karla! I can't stand it... it is sooo sad. but you are right, do you think it is possible that it will bring your friend some peace to know that her beautiful child is with her Mother? I can't even imagine it. I am so so sorry to hear this and it just makes every single little thing that I was thinking about today so not important. My prayers are with her that she will be able to go on and live knowing that our sweet Lord will take care of her.

xoxo Heather

i know how hard it is to live with a broken heart. although, i've mangaged to go on through my own personal tradegy, it has changed me profoundly and a part of me died that day. i think i could certainly understand "dying from a broken heart". i believe it happens all the day; especially when a child is involved. i will think of your friend and the grief she is surrounded in.

Oh sweetie...I am so, so sorry.
They will all be in my prayers. Bless your friend...I have no idea how one goes on after losing a child yet most do. Only God can give that kind of strength...He must be with them.
I hope that she can take some comfort in knowing that her mother and son are together. My heart hurts for her so...

Many prayers will be said...

Hugs to you sweetie.

Oh Karla...I know what you mean, some people have such heavy burdens that it seems unfair at times! But I do not question for I know it's part of HIS plan!
My prayers are with you & your friend at this time...

I am praying for your friends, that is an awful hard situation, I'm so sorry. You are right about the broken heart. My granny passed just on Tuesday and now we are worried for my grandfather, he will be burying her this Sat, on their 63rd wedding anniversary.
