Family Photo

My grandmother (mom's mom) is in her early 80s and has had some health issues over the recent years. Knowing that family is so important to her, Jeff had the wonderful idea of getting a family photo. My mom has two brothers and so with their corresponding families, we all took advantage of a family picnic and snapped away. Jeff and I are on the right side with my mom seated in front of us. My sister is standing on the left. I'm a total Photoshop novice but I'm going to try to play around with it and see what I can do with this.

In the end I know my grandmother will treasure this photo. She has been a widow for over 20 years and sometimes I think she misses my grandfather more now than when he first passed. As the family grows and changes and loved ones are no longer with us, I know that this photo will be a treasure for many of us.

What a special photo and a wonderful idea Karla! Your grandmother will treasure this.

I'm giggling at how you are all the same height in a row! If it was our family we'd be all up and down and all over the place! lol!

What a beautiful day and photograph to remember it by! My son was just using Digital Photo Professional and he could wipe out caterers heads in the back ground. I love how photos can be enhanced by us, well some of us, and increase their beauty even more!
Karla, did you know your smile looks like Princes Grace's in your side bar photo! yes indeed! look!

Karla, How cool to get such a special photo taken! Your grandmother looks so proud, front and center! I'm wondering what you would change in Photoshop? Everyone looks perfect to me!!!

Our family photo was taken in June at my sister's wedding. It was the first time the WHOLE family of siblings was together in 8 years. Even then, we were missing some of the children.

What a wonderful idea, you've got a smart guy there thinking of taking the pic in the first place!

This is a wonderful photo and you are so lucky you could be together. A brilliant idea, I think. I don't really have anything like that of our extended family all together -- some groups, but not all of us. This is just the best. You're right -- family is so very important. (I bet she's wild about your good news!)
