Keeping with the Candy Theme

Perhaps I'm featuring too many candy themed posts lately? Nah! I've always had a sweet tooth! One of my favorite candies is salt water taffy and one of the best places to find it is in Cape Cod. There is one particular place that we like to go to every summer. They have an adorable outdoor booth with bins and bins of the sweet, sticky stuff. I especially love their boxes. They are very retro - I have a feeling they are the same boxes they have had for years and have only been updated with info like their website. I am especially enamored with the back of the box. It is relatively simple but I love the blue and the graphics. I decided to use it in a collage.
I added some vintage wallpaper and crepe paper taffy treats to frame the box and a little scalloped awning to give the feel of the taffy stand which has a red and white striped awning.

It brings back yummy vacation memories every time I look at it!

Nothing says the beach like Salt Water taffy. As a child I always bought a box on our visits to the beach even though it was never my favorite. :) I just always like the colors

Love the candy posts.....you are gearing up for lolli ~pop shops.
Your cute necklaces will be a big hit.
Salt water taffy always reminds me of trips to the coast....I just like the strawberry or cherry flavor though.

Hi, Karla -- this is so cute! It just makes me happy -- I can't resist pretty taffy -- it always looks so lovely!

A note is on its way to you with thanks for your "sweet" surprise -- it's perfect with a t-shirt I bought on vacation! Enclosed in the note are some of those Egyptian wrap pieces. They're small (to fit in the envie), but if you can use a bigger piece, drop me an email and I'll get it off to you! (Stop by my drawing!)

Salt water taffy is good for my taste buds and sadly bad for my teeth-lol.

I still eat it when I can find it though-just verrrrry carefully.
