This is not a book

Thank you one and all for your thoughts on my bureau. I have to say I was not expecting so many "leave it alone!" responses. I've decided to heed your wise advise for the time being and just leave well enough alone. We plan to paint this room within the next several months so I will wait and revisit the bureau once the room takes on its new look.
In the meantime, I have discovered a fun new book! Well, as you can see it is not a book, truly words defy this little diddy. It is a book that you interact with and make into your own unique creation.
There are crazy fun pages like the above. Hmmm, what will I do to this page?
Writing and drawing directly on the pages is directly encouraged...
And defacing the book by cutting and tearing pages is also mandatory. For a total Type A, in control all the time personality like myself - this is difficult! But I do have to say, it is very freeing and allows me to step out of my box in so many ways.
This is a wonderful book, err diddy or what have you. I'm having lots of fun with it and will take some photos as it evolves into its own unique creation.

Karla,
I'm so glad you've decided to save the beautiful bureau the way it is, you're forgiven if you decide to change it, but it is so lovely and original as it is.....

Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my blog! I pray your grandma can stay in her home for a long time.

The interactive book that you've discovered is very interesting.... I'd probably have a problem with cutting and writing, but then again..... that would probably be good for me.
Hugs,
Dolores

I think you are going to have a lot of fun with this! I was given a book like this (similar in theory) and it really helped me to not be afraid to go ahead and jump into a project.. sure plan some but do not be afraid to start.

mary
