I was a good little girl on vacation and did not do much shopping. Most of the money we spent was on yummy seafood! I did get to a few antique centers. My main find was these three fabulous vintage necklaces. They make me think summer! Love this sunshine yellow one.
And this fabulous aqua blue one (I've come to realize that this is my favorite color - I always said it was purple but I have so many things in this blue color - the walls in my kitchen, clothes, jewelry!).
And this fabulous graduated silver one. Now here is the question - I was originally thinking of dismantling the yellow and aqua ones and using the parts in some new pieces but I'm not sure - they are great as is and maybe I'll just keep them! I need opinions - what do you think?

i think you should use them Karla, maybe just keep the blue one for yourself since it is your favorite:)
I agree with Lori! Karla, keep the pretty blue one just for you, as a reminder of a lovely vacation! They are all pretty, how fun to find them on vacation.

Welcome back! Did I say that already?
How fun...we love them just as they are!
Have a blessed and wonderful day!

these are fabulous necklaces but I am so admiring that fabric underneath!!! to die for...Hope you are well my sweets...Jennifer
Those are great! The colors are so pretty.
hmmmmm...since I'm not one to wear chunky necklaces, I would probably use them for other projects or use the beads to make a necklace more my style.
But, I have to agree with the others, the blue one is so pretty as is. Do you have a dress form or manni that you could display it on?
Kimberly :)
I'm a bit of a chunky necklace chick at the moment so I say to keep them and wear them all together for a while until you get sick of them then use them, best of both worlds!
I think you should keep them too! I love them all! :) I so enjoyed looking at all of your vacation photos. Looks like a very fun time!

I say if they are in perfect condition to keep them that way. If they are messed up a tad, reuse them for soemthing else. They are beautiful though.
you can send the aqua one to me. :)
They are lovely and yes I think you should keep the blue one for yourself and wear it when you make or go out for a Romantic dinner with your Hunny to remind you of the long sweet days of your Summer Vacation 2008!!
Maybe create with the other two.. I cannot wait to see what you do next!!!
Those are lovely finds Karla! But the seafood still would have been my favorite part of vacation for sure!!
have a great day ~

Well, they're all beautiful and could easily be co-opted for your other projects with such amazing beads, but boy -- if you thought you might wear them, or wear the blue one (that's my fave color, too -- well, one of them) I'd hol. You don't have to do it today! And it's like a souvenir, isn't it? Splendid finds! Three cheers! Welcome home!
Wear them! I have a blue one that same color, but it is 3 strands. I love it and get lots of compliments every time I wear it.
Since yellow is my favorite color, I think you should keep that one, too.
Great haul and glad that you are back!
OOOOOH I SAY KEEP!!!! The BLUE is the FAV! However, you never know when that FAB yellow necklace will be the PERFECT accessory to an outfit. Trust me!;) Keep! XOXO
Hi Sugar Bear, Just love those necklaces. I think I like the Aqua one the best. They are soooooo 50s. Don't you just adore the old jewelry? The charm bracelets and funky earrings. I especially adore the old rhinestone clip-on earrings. Can never get enough.
Glad you had a fun vacation.

Keep them and WEAR them. They are fabulous! Rachaelxo
Ooooh, they are fabulous. When ever I find something fabulous like that and I am torn between keeping it as is and using it or repurposing it, I think a good compromise is to use it for a bit, then when you are ready repurpose. You might find that wearing those necklaces just once or twice is enough and then you are ready to give them up to a fabulous repurpose. xo, suzy
I do like to tear things apart. I have as much fun remaking jewelry as I do wearing it. The idea of keeping one and playing with the others is a good one.
