This is Prescott T. Lionsworth. He guards the front of our house from rouge vandals and other assorted bad people. He is looking especially cold and lonely these days. It is so cold over here. There is the possibility for snow later this week. I can't believe it. I can but still it's April! Spring has sprung! Or maybe not so much. I am itching to get some flowers outside but can't do that yet or I'll end up with little icicles.
I received my partner for Claire's softie swap today. She is quite talented and a fellow Yankee! Check out her blog and work here. I suspect she has slightly more sewing talent then I but I will rise to this challenge! I found some great snuggly fabric for my softie today and the wheels are turning.
If anyone reading this is from some wonderfully warm and delightful geographical climate, please send some warm vibes so I can live vicariously through you!
Hugs to all.

I am sorry I can't send you any warm vibes...It is freezing here in PA!
Hi Karla! Sorry..we had snowflakes several times in the air yesterday. I dearly hope that my white lilacs will not be damaged at that my beautiful Elizabeth Magnolia tree make it.
If you have a covered porch area you could try putting some "grocery store or home depot" tulips or other spring bloom out there. Oh I totally forgot...I have done this every year..except last 2 due to BIG "projects" around the house, get spring blooms from above stores and place in your foyer /front door area. then in fall plant them in your gardens!
Ok...last thing, did you also get a pack from Hollydoodledesigns!!!?
With Kindness,
Mary
A lion to gaurd the door! How awesome is that!
I know Karla,
We are freezing over here, and all getting a rotten cold! WAAAH! I hope we don't go from winter straight to summer....that would be such a bummer. I don't like extremes either way, cold or hot!
My fave is Spring so I would hate not to get a real Spring! I hope you are enjoying your down time, and able to get creative ;-)
Hugs,
Jenn
We do have sun here today, but it is still quite chilly! I feel badly for the few struggling daffodils I saw in town the other day!
Wet cold vibes from here :(
Your house looked sweet for Easter...I love your little menu and table settings...the little cone things! Great!
Sorry, we are having a blizzard today...I'm thinking I should not have cut back my Clematis yet...probably killed it!
Yes, I did have a nice trip, thank you- except for the April blizzard on the drive home!!!!!
I ended up not signing up for the softie swap. I will be looking forward to seeing what you come up with, and hopefully I will get in on the next one. Have fun with it!
Ok....here you go...Straight from San Diego....65 degree weather and sunshine! Would you like me to send you some beach sand also? :) I can commiserate though. I grew up in Michigan and can remember how this time of the year is the hardest because you are sooooooo ready for winter to be over!
Hello Karla, It was nice and sunny here in NC but wind was still chilly.
Love your blog. I will certainly be back. Thanks for dropping in at my blog earlier too.
I luv Prescott. If he ever needs a new home please call me up:-) lol
I love your lion. He looks very majestic. And I hear you about that cold weather. It is finally starting to get nice in MN. We now have gotten rid of our snow. I'm ready for spring weather and all the fun stuff that goes with it.
Talk to you soon.
